So, I begin this blog a little apprehensive. I'm not sure if I talk about myself, which seems rather boring, or my family and friends, which seems invasive, or just random activities in life (a la Carrie). I figure I could do just a little bit of everything...
My name is Kristi and as of this morning my name is different. I've been married for almost a year and have been "thinking about" changing my last name the entire time. While I thought I'd be a little sad to lose the last name that I have loved and cherished for 27 years, but I don't. I'm actually kinda excited and my husband couldn't be happier.
My family is good, but too far away. I used to promise my sister that when she got pregnant I would move back, funny how that never happened. Even so, I get back as often as my bank account will allow. I still laugh outloud when I get videos of what my babylove (a.k.a. my niece) is doing. The look on her face when she goes down a slide alone makes me miss being there.
Life is interesting. Every day people surprise me. Sometimes it's good, sometimes frustrating, and sometimes the stupidity is amazing. However, maintaining a positive outlook and demeanor are key in getting through this life successfully and still being able to smile at the end of the day is what motivates me to wake up excited about the next day.
So, this is me... follow me if you'd like. You will notice that I am a dork; just a simple, glass half full kinda gal with slightly more than average intelligence.
